Lincoln Electric Precision TIG 275/375 Welder Professional AC/DC TIG Welding Machine

The Lincoln Electric Precision TIG 275/375 is a professional AC/DC TIG welding machine designed for precision fabrication, production welding, maintenance, motorsports, aerospace, and other demanding metalworking applications. Combining controlled TIG performance with Stick welding capability, the Precision TIG platform is built for welders who need dependable arc control across a broad range of materials and applications.

The Precision TIG 275 provides an output range of 2–340 amps, while the Precision TIG 375 extends the range to 2–420 amps, giving professional welders flexibility for both precision low-amperage work and heavier welding applications.

Professional Lincoln TIG Welding Performance

The Precision TIG 275 and Precision TIG 375 are designed around the requirements of professional TIG welding. Both machines provide AC/DC output and support TIG and Stick welding, making them useful for fabrication shops, production environments, repair facilities, and experienced welders who need more than a basic welding machine.

For TIG applications involving aluminum, the Precision TIG platform features AC Auto-Balance®, which automatically adjusts the balance between cleaning action and penetration. Welders can also manually adjust the AC balance when a specific combination of cleaning and penetration is required.

This level of control is particularly useful when welding aluminum and other applications where arc characteristics and heat management can affect the finished weld.

AC/DC TIG Welding for Aluminum and Steel

One of the major advantages of the Lincoln Precision TIG welding machine is its AC/DC capability.

AC TIG welding is commonly used for aluminum and other applications where oxide removal and controlled penetration are important. The Precision TIG’s AC Auto-Balance® technology helps manage the relationship between cleaning action and penetration during aluminum welding.

DC TIG welding can be used for materials such as steel and stainless steel when the appropriate welding setup and consumables are selected.

This combination gives the Precision TIG 275/375 the flexibility expected from a professional Lincoln welding machine.

Advanced TIG Pulse Control

Pulse welding can be useful when managing heat input, controlling the weld puddle, and limiting distortion on thinner materials.

The Precision TIG 375 includes standard pulse functions, while the Advanced Pulse Control panel is available as an option on applicable Precision TIG 275 configurations. Lincoln states that the pulse system can help minimize distortion caused by excessive heat input and can help moderate filler-metal deposition for a more consistent bead appearance.

For welders performing detailed fabrication or working with thinner materials, this additional control can be valuable when setting up the welding process.

5 reviews for Lincoln Precision TIG 275/375 Welder | Lincoln Electric TIG Welding Machine

  1. Collins Rae (verified owner) –

This is a serious TIG machine. I bought it mainly for shop fabrication and have been happy with the performance. The weld quality has been excellent once I got the settings dialed in for each job. My only complaint is that there are quite a few controls and adjustments compared with smaller TIG machines, so there was definitely a learning curve. After spending some time with it, that extra control became more of an advantage than a problem.

  2. Colton Hayes (verified owner) –

I’ve been using this welder for a few weeks now and so far it’s been working really well. Setup was pretty straightforward and the controls didn’t take long to get used to. I’ve mainly been using it for light fabrication and repair work, and the arc has been consistent.

It was packaged well when it arrived and there wasn’t any damage from shipping. The machine feels solid without being unnecessarily bulky.

  3. Wyatt Mo (verified owner) –

Definitely built more for a shop environment than occasional home use, but that’s exactly what I was looking for. The controls took a little time to get familiar with, but once everything was set up, operation was straightforward. Overall, it feels like a well-built machine designed for regular use.

  4. Esteban Cavoz (verified owner) –

What impressed me most with this welder is how consistent the arc feels. I’ve used it on different fabrication jobs and have been able to get clean results without constantly fighting the machine. The controls give you plenty of adjustment without making the machine feel overly complicated. It’s a substantial piece of equipment, so make sure you have enough room in the shop for it. For heavier-duty TIG work, though, the size hasn’t been an issue for me.

  5. Presley Jo (verified owner) –

The first thing I noticed was how substantial this welder is. It isn’t a lightweight portable unit, but the build quality gives you the impression that it’s meant to stay in a shop and work for years. If you’re looking for something compact to throw in the back of a truck, this probably isn’t what you’d want. For a dedicated shop setup, however, it has been a very capable machine.
